ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – It’s shaping up to be a busy year for Tompkins County Recycling and Materials Management (TCRMM).
Deputy Director Kat McCarthy says they’re looking to advance capital projects this month for environmental monitoring services and leachate systems at closed landfills.
She adds they anticipate advancing a bid for a facility improvement capital project at the Recycling and Solid Waste Center in April.
Additionally, McCarthy adds they’ve been reviewing local solid waste laws and will seek revisions in 2026.
TCRMM will meet with Tompkins County Attorney Maury Josephson soon to discuss the next steps.
