WATKINS GLEN, NY (CortacaToday) – A Burdett man faces up to 6 years in State Prison.
Zane Seubert, 46, was sentenced in Schuyler County last month on felony arson and burglary charges. Seubert receives 2-6 years on the burglary charge, and 1-3 years on the arson charge. Chief Assistant District Attorney Jeremy Hourihan says those sentences will be served concurrently.
In a previous guilty plea, Seubert admitted breaking into a storage facility and Union Cemetery in Hector, causing extensive fire damage to the cemetery building while trying to light a cigarette. Seubert was additionally ordered to pay $61,000 in restitution. Officials say he’s already paid $60,000 of that sum.
