ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — An Ithaca bookstore is facing financial hardship.

Buffalo Street Books is planning to shift to a nonprofit model. Board of Directors Chair Amy Reading tells the Ithaca Times the change would open up new sources of funding.

The store reportedly loses about $60,000 each year. An online fundraiser aims to raise $100,000 to help keep the business afloat.
