CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — Voters in the Cortland Enlarged City School District will see five propositions on next month’s ballot.

In a conversation with WHCU’s Joe Salzone on Ithaca’s Morning News, Superintendent Bob Edwards said the very first proposition is the 2025-26 budget itself.

There are two propositions about buses. In Proposition 2, the district is asking voters to approve the purchase of three diesel and one electric bus. But Edwards says if that is reject, they’re ready with a backup plan.

The other two propositions on the May 20 ballot are a $7.7 million capital project and approval of the Cortland Free Library’s $473,724 budget.
