BERKSHIRE, NY (607NewsNow) — The Berkshire Free Library is cutting its hours.
On Fridays moving forward, the library will close at 3 p.m. It previously closed at 5 p.m. on Fridays.
An employee at the library said the reduction is due to a loss of funding. The employee specified the loss is not directly involved with the federal funding freeze.
The library is hoping to secure grant funding to restore hours.
Aside from Fridays, all other hours remain unaffected.
