OVID, NY (607NewsNow) – A pair of men from North Carolina have been arrested in Seneca County.

On June 4, deputies arrested 28-year-old Christopher Conley, of Spring Lake, who is accused of forcefully taking a wallet from someone in Ovid.

According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Department, Conley gave them a false name during the investigation. Conley is charged with felony robbery and misdemeanor criminal impersonation. He was issued an appearance ticket and will return to Ovid Town Court at a later date.

During Conley’s arrest, police questioned another man, 36-year-old Austin Autry, of Spring Lake, who was found to be wanted in his home state on felony domestic violence charges. Autry was taken to Seneca County Jail as a fugitive from justice. He awaits extradition back to North Carolina.
