CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) – An arrest has been made in Cortland after a months-long fraud investigation.

On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, Amy Cross was taken into custody by Cortland Police. The 41-year-old is accused of forging and cashing a stolen check in the City of Cortland on May 9, 2024.

Cross is charged with felony forgery, felony possession of a forged instrument, misdemeanor criminal possession of stolen property, and petit larceny. She is scheduled to appear in Cortland City Court on October 2, 2024.
