ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — An apple-themed bakeoff will take place on November 23rd from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Moakley House, located at 215 Warren Rd in Ithaca. This event invites participants and attendees to enjoy an afternoon of apple-inspired treats while supporting the United Way.

The bakeoff will feature a baking competition where participants can showcase their best apple-based desserts, including pies, cakes, cookies, and more. Entries will be judged by a panel of experts, who will evaluate submissions based on taste, presentation, texture, and originality. Winners will receive exciting prizes. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to cast their votes for the People’s Choice Award by sampling the entries.

Those interested in participating as bakers can register by emailing Margaret Kadish-Bruns at mtb235@cornell.edu. The entry fee for bakers is $25. Attendees are welcome to join the festivities for a small donation of $5, which includes the chance to taste the entries along with complimentary seasonal snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

Proceeds from the event will support the United Way, helping to make a positive impact within the community. Attendees can look forward to an enjoyable afternoon of family-friendly fun and a variety of creative apple desserts.
