ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – All Big Lots stores are set to close.

The company reportedly confirmed on Thursday that its remaining 900-plus locations will begin “going out of business” sales. After filing for bankruptcy in September, a deal to sell the company to a private equity firm that would have ensured the company remained in business has fallen through. However, officials say the pending store closures could be reversed if a successful sale is completed.

Local stores still open include Cortland, Auburn, and Elmira. The Ithaca location closed in the fall.
