TRUMANSBURG, NY (607NewsNow) — The 33rd Annual Finger Lakes Grassroots Festival is almost here.
Staying true to its name, Grassroots is a community celebration of life, music, dance, and culture. Taking place on the Trumansburg Fairgrounds, the festival will run from July 17th to July 20th.
According to Russ Friedell, Marketing Director of GrassRoots, the festival is unique in its inclusivity and is a diverse community. There is something for everyone, bringing fun for the whole family.
For first-time goers, Friedell advises to be prepared for any type of weather, rain or shine. He suggests bringing sunscreen, a rain jacket, flip-flops, rain boots, and a reusable water bottle. There will be free water provided on-site.
This year, The Highly Connected Dispensary will have a tent on site with cannabis products for purchase. The Highly Connected Dispensary is a sponsor for this year’s festival and will also provide information about marijuana and its legalization.
Another new addition this year is a covered dining tent for festivalgoers to eat in the shade. This is brought by another local sponsor, C.S.P. Management in Ithaca.
For ticket options, kids 12 and under can attend for free accompanied by a parent or guardian. Adults can purchase a 4-day pass or a 1-day pass. Tickets can be purchased online now for a discounted price compared to at the gate.
