NEWFIELD, NY (607NewsNow) — Two vehicles, two injuries after an accident in Newfield. 

Tompkins County Sheriff Derek Osborne reports a gray 2020 Honda CR-V failed to yield the right of way to a gray 2009 Ford Escape, and the two vehicles crashed around 10:30 Saturday morning at the intersection of Main Street and Elmira Road. Both people inside the CR-V are being treated for serious injury while the Ford Escape occupant declined further medical treatment.

So far, the sheriff says no charges have been filed but adds the investigation is ongoing.
