Update, 9:00 a.m. A 63-year-old Dryden man has died after a car crash.
Sheriff Derek Osborne says Daniel Heath drove through a stop sign around six o’clock last night at the intersection of West Dryden and Sheldon Roads. Osborne says Heath crashed into another car and died from his injuries after getting airlifted to a trauma center.
Osborne says the other driver is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Upstate Medical Center.
FREEVILLE, NY (CortacaToday) — Authorities are investigating a vehicle crash in Freeville.
It happened around 6 p.m. last evening on West Dryden Road. Investigators say the victims were removed from the wreckage and a fire was extinguished. One person was flown by Lifenet to a local trauma center for treatment of their injuries. Another person was taken to Upstate Medical Center. Their conditions are not known.
The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation.
