SYRACUSE, NY (CortacaToday) — Syracuse Police are charging a 13-year-old with murder. 

Officers say 25-year-old Matthew Freeman was shot Tuesday on South Salina Street. Freeman was taken to Saint Joseph’s Hospital with gunshot wounds in the abdomen and shoulder and was pronounced dead.

The 13-year-old suspect is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree murder.
