CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – A woman has been sentenced for a fatal hit and run in Cortland County.

The Cortland Voice reports that Amber Suprunchik, of Dolgeville, was sentenced to a maximum of seven years for striking two bicyclists on Route 26 in Cincinnatus in June of 2021, killing a man from DeRuyter. Suprunchik was convicted of leaving the scene of a fatal accident, criminally negligent homicide, and tampering with physical evidence in June 2023. Suprunchik maintains she has no memory of the accident because she was suffering from her hypoglycemic medical condition at the time.
