ITHACA, NY (WHCU) — Cass Park is getting more money for upgrades.

Senator Lea Webb announced Thursday 300 thousand dollars to support projects like bathroom renovations and improvements to the park’s cold storage facilities. Cass Park was recently awarded 500 thousand dollars, which Webb tells WHCU is a complement to the additional funding.

Mayor Robert Cantelmo tells WHCU the funding is crucial to modernize the park.

There’s no timeline for when the work will begin.
