WAVERLY, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Pennsylvania woman is facing a felony in Tioga County.

The Waverly Police Department recently received a complaint from a loss prevention manager for Dollar General that an employee was stealing cash deposits from the 575 Waverly Street location. 37-year-old Ashley Mathews, of Gillett, PA, was arrested last Thursday. Investigators say she stole nearly $12,629.92. Mathews is charged with felony grand larceny. She’ll appear in the Village of Waverly Court at a later date.
