ATHENS TOWNSHIP, PA. (WHCU) – A Waverly man is in custody after allegedly leading police on a chase in Pennsylvania that exceeded 100 miles per hour.

Cody Blake, 36, reportedly refused to pull over for a cracked windshield in Athens Township on Sunday afternoon. Blake was arrested after several miles of pursuit when smoke began coming from under the hood of his car, which, ultimately died.

While Blake’s car was being towed, officers say they found a magnetic lockbox on the underside with approximately 44 grams of methamphetamine in it. Blake is charged with felony drug possession, felony fleeing a police officer, and two misdemeanors. He’s being held on $100,000 cash bail.

Blake is scheduled to appear in court on May 21.
