ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Virginia man accused of abducting his ex-partner in Ithaca earlier this month faces new charges. 

Michael Davis was released from the hospital Tuesday and taken to a Virginia State Police office, where he was charged Wednesday with one count of attempted capital murder of a law enforcement officer, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and one count of eluding police. The 34-year-old was already charged with abduction.

On April 5, Davis allegedly took Tatiana David from West Hill Circle. That night, Davis was involved in a shootout with police and David, who was also 34, was killed. Davis has not been charged in New York.
