LANSING, N.Y. (WHCU) – The Village of Lansing is searching for a new trustee.
Officials say trustee Jeff Dobbin has resigned due to health issues, leaving one out of five board positions vacant. The village is looking for a resident to fill the remainder of the term that runs through April 30th of 2024.
Trustees meet the first and third Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m., and the second Thursday following the first Monday meeting at 12:00 p.m. to discuss and vote on matters related to the village. Additionally, trustees are appointed to one or two committees to represent the village in plans and decisions. In general, the board manages village property, finances, and public works.
