SOLON, N.Y. (WHCU) – The victim of a fatal motor vehicle accident that happened last month in the Town of Solon has been identified.
Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash around 4 a.m. on December 27, where a car went off Stillwell Road and struck a tree, sending one occupant to the hospital and killing another. Authorities announced on Tuesday that Christa M. Delaney was the victim who sustained life-ending injuries that night.
Investigators are still trying to pin down where Delaney and the other occupant, Isaac Faircloth, were that evening from approximately 1 a.m. to 3:53 a.m. The pair were in a 2015 red Nissan Sentra at the time of the accident and were thought to have been in the areas of the City of Cortland, Town of Cortlandville, Village of McGraw, and Town of Solon.
