CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – The dream continues for two SUNY Cortland football players.

Wide receivers JJ Laap and Cole Burgess are going to the National Football League as undrafted free agents. Laap is headed to the West Coast, inking a deal with the Los Angeles Rams.

Burgess joins the Cincinnati Bengals, where Cortland native and fellow Red Dragon Dan Pitcher is the offensive coordinator. Burgess and Laap were instrumental in helping Cortland capture its first national championship in December.
