NEWARK VALLEY, N.Y. (WHCU) – Two men await their day in Newark Valley Court.

Tioga County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a trespassing complaint on April 23, 2023, at a residence on Russell Road in the Town of Newark Valley. Authorities say they saw two men running away from the home when they arrived. 27-year-old Anthony Curtis, of Newark Valley, and 41-year-old Jerry Harman, of Glen Aubrey were located in the nearby woods a short time later and arrested after investigation found they’d broken into the residence and stole items.

Curtis and Harman are each charged with felony burglary and misdemeanors of possession of burglar’s tools, petit larceny, and criminal mischief. They will appear in Newark Valley Town Court at a later date.
