ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – A pair of projects in the Town and City of Ithaca will likely delay traffic.

Elm Street Extension is set to close for sewer repairs. It will be reduced to one lane at 7 a.m. and will close fully at 9 a.m. The two-hour lane reduction is to accommodate school buses. Town officials say the project should be wrapped up at some point today, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Elsewhere in Ithaca, officials say a large tree in the 600 block of Hudson Street adjacent to Oak Hill Manor needs to come down. Hudson Street will be closed from Pearsall Place to Crescent Place from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Thursday for the work. Detours are in place.
