MONTOUR, N.Y. (WHCU) – A traffic stop has led to drug charges for a Horseheads woman.

Schuyler County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on State Route 14 in the Town of Montour on Halloween. Authorities say 33-year-old Nancy Cowl had drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Schuyler County Sheriff’s K9-officer Digit assisted in the arrest.

Cowl is charged with felony unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and five misdemeanors. The Chemung County woman was turned over to the Village of Elmira Heights Police Department for an active arrest warrant.
