ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Leaders in Tompkins County meet today to discuss opioid settlement funding.

The Health and Human Services Committee will determine how to spread about $700,000 across several projects. The Opioid Task Force has recommended giving about $60,000 to the Alcohol and Drug Council of Tompkins County, and $7,000 to the Ithaca United Soccer Club for overdose education for athletes.

Officials meet at 2 PM today at the legislature building to continue conversations.
