ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Authorities in Tompkins County are welcoming new corrections officers.

Sheriff Derek Osborne says two officers recently began working, and more résumés are coming in.

“We continue to see people apply, and it’s been a little slow moving,” he says.

Osborne adds six positions remain open.
