ITHACA, NY (WHCU) — Tompkins County lawmakers will make a pair of proclamations this evening.

Legislators will recognize the LGBTQ+ community for Pride Month. Rainbow flags will be flown on flagpoles throughout June.

Officials will also make a proclamation about Juneteenth. The holiday will be honored on the 18th of this month, as the county plans to celebrate the history of African Americans.

Tonight’s legislative meeting begins at 5:30 PM.
