ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Lawmakers are looking to expand high-speed internet in Tompkins County.
Officials are reviewing a resolution that would develop broadband infrastructure in unserved areas. They say reliable internet is essential for education, economic development, and healthcare.
The resolution would authorize spending $100,000 to build infrastructure in several towns.
The Housing and Economic Development Committee meets at 3 PM on Wednesday to discuss.
