ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – The Tompkins County Whole Health Department’s Environmental Health division is looking for information about a dog that allegedly bit someone on Tuesday.
Officials say it happened on Highland Avenue near Westbourne Lane in Ithaca around 1 p.m. The dog is described as medium-sized with short black hair and upright ears. It was being walked by someone who presented as a woman with light-colored, shoulder-length hair in a green coat. There was a similarly sized dog with them, described as white with brown and black spotting and upright ears.
Environmental Health wants to find out if the dog is vaccinated for rabies to inform treatment for the victim. Anyone with information is asked to call (607)274-6688.
