ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Tompkins County health officials are alerting families to a recall on infant formula.
12.9-ounce containers of Enfamil Prosobee Simply Plant-Based Infant Formula have been voluntarily recalled by the manufacturer for the possibility of cross-contamination with a germ that can cause infection in infants.
The batches can be identified by the number on the bottom of the can. They are ZL2HZF and ZL2HZZ, both with a UPC Code of 300871214415 and a “Use By Date” of “1 Mar 2024.”
The batches in question tested negative but are still being recalled out of an abundance of caution. No illnesses or adverse events have been reported.
