ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Reports of theft are on the rise in Tompkins County.

In January, the Department of Emergency Response received 179 calls about suspected stealing. That’s a 10 percent increase from December.

Authorities say a dorm near Cornell was burglarized last month.
