ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – The Tompkins County Department of Emergency Response has honored two of its own.

The department held its 3rd annual awards ceremony on Friday in recognition of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. Scott Blauvelt was given the Director’s Award and Josy Castillo was named 2023 Dispatcher of the Year.
