ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office has published a transparency hub online.

Sheriff Derek Osborne says the virtual dashboard currently only features data from his department’s C.A.R.E or Crisis Alternative Response and Engagement team, which pairs deputies with mental health clinicians.

Data shows the team responded to 88 calls, most of which were in Dryden. Osborne says the county’s IT department is still working on a larger, more comprehensive online dashboard.
