ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — About $100,000 will help improve safety in Tompkins County.

The money is coming from the State Homeland Security Program. Officials say the funding will help protect against terrorism and enhance emergency management.

County legislators accepted the $98,000 grant on Tuesday.
