OWEGO, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Tioga County Board of Elections aims to increase its social media presence.

The board plans to create a Facebook page. Officials say it would reduce confusion about where to cast ballots, and boost voter turnout.

Elsewhere in the region, the Town of Ulysses recently created a Facebook page to share announcements.
