FREETOWN, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Cortland County man is facing a felony charge.

33-year-old Michael Palmer, of Freetown, was arrested Friday, March 31, 2023, for violating an order of protection. Palmer allegedly attempted to contact someone who has a full stay away order against him on March 29, 2023.

It’s the third time in less than six weeks Palmer’s been arrested for the crime.  He was processed, arraigned, and remanded to Cortland County Jail in lieu of $500.00 cash bail or $2,500.00 bond. Palmer is charged with felony criminal contempt. He’s scheduled to appear in Town of Freetown Court on April 26, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.
