ITHACA, NY (WHCU) — Cornell’s commencement means a daylong detour for TCAT.

The transit agency can’t serve the central campus at Cornell on Saturday because of commencement ceremonies in the morning and afternoon. The “Route 81 Special” bus will run every three to 10 minutes on Campus Road between B-lot and Schoellkopf Field all day.

The special rides start at 7:30 Saturday morning. TCAT expects to resume normal service on Saturday at 5:30.

In a related story, TCAT will change to a summer schedule on Sunday, May 26. There’s no service Monday, which is Memorial Day.
