ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — TCAT is requesting more time to improve bus stops.

The agency is collaborating with Ithaca officials on an urban bus stop upgrade project, which would add solar lights to a dozen shelters in the city. The contract expires at the end of April – but TCAT hopes to extend the deal to the fall. Officials say winter weather and late shipments have caused the delay.

Ithaca’s Urban Renewal Agency will discuss the plan tomorrow morning at 8:30.
