ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Today is Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior Day but TCAT buses are running on a normal weekday schedule and the transit agency’s administrative offices are open. 

Routes 53, 83, 90, and 92 won’t be operating this week, and other routes are on modified services. Those changes are below.

  • 10 (Commons/Cornell Loop): Will run only between 7:50 a.m. and 3:50 p.m., with a reduction in frequency to every 20 minutes.
  • 11 (Ithaca College/Commons):  No 3:45 p.m. outbound trip from Green St. Station; no 4:05 p.m. inbound from Ithaca College.
  • 13 (Fall Creek/ Aldi/ Ithaca High School): Eliminates the 7:11 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. inbound trips departing from TCAT.
  • 15 (Southwest Shopper): Eliminates 2:03 p.m.; 2:33 p.m.; 3:03 p.m.; 3:33 p.m. and 4:03 p.m. trips departing Green St. Station.   
  • 17 (TCAT/Fall Creek/Commons): Eliminates multiple trips based on adjustments to other routes.
  • 21 (Trumansburg/Jacksonville/Commons): Eliminates the 7:42 a.m. outbound trip starting from Green St. Station, and the 8:15 a.m. inbound trip starting from Compass Manufactured Home Community.
  • 30 (Ithaca Mall/Cornell/Commons): On Mon., Jan. 16 will resume using College Ave., following a lengthy detour. Reduced frequency to every 30 minutes. Route will operate as normal after 8 p.m.
  • 43 (Dryden/Commons/Groton/Freeville):  First inbound (the 7:12 a.m. departing from
  • TC3) ends at Seneca St. Station, instead of Green St. Station.
  • 81 (Cornell Campus): Eliminates several trips. Frequency reduced to every 33 minutes all day with last trip departing Boyce Thompson Institute at 6:16 p.m.

TCAT transitions to their spring schedule this coming Sunday.
