ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — TCAT is seeking additional help from state lawmakers. 

The transit company, along with the New York Public Transit Association, wants increased funding in the next budget.

TCAT GM Scot Vanderpool says it’s been a struggle recovering from the pandemic. 

Vanderpool adds transit agencies across the state face similar obstacles. 

State lawmakers recently wrapped up budget hearings. A vote is expected in the next few weeks.
