ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Cornell and TCAT have a new agreement.

The transit company’s Board of Directors recently approved a new four-year deal, which will see the university pay TCAT over three million dollars in the first year. The dollar amount will increase each year as part of the deal. TCAT General Manager Scot Vanderpool calls the new deal “fair and adequate.”

Cornell also contributes nearly one million dollars to TCAT as one of three underwriters, along with Ithaca and Tompkins County.
