In observance of Juneteenth, administrative offices of the transit company are also closed. Today marks the official end of slavery in Texas in 1865, 900 days after the Emancipation Proclamation was delivered by President Lincoln. Juneteenth was first celebration as a federal holiday in 2021.

TCAT resumes normal summer service tomorrow morning.
