ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — TCAT’s Board of Directors meets today to talk about buying new diesel buses.
Last month, a decision was made by interim TCAT leader Matthew Rosenbloom-Jones to remove all electric buses from routes over safety concerns.
The transit agency’s board is considering purchasing five diesel buses from a California-based company to boost reliability.
The meeting will start at 9 a.m. Prior to this morning’s morning, TCAT Board of Director Chair and Tompkins County Legislator Deborah Dawson talks live to WHCU’s Joe Salzone on Ithaca’s Morning News.
