TRUMANSBURG, N.Y. (WHCU) – Taughannock Falls lovers are in for a unique view next week.
In honor of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the New York State Park System, and in partnership with New York State Parks, the Tompkins Chamber, and Visit Ithaca, the falls will be illuminated at night. You’ll be able to see it from the overlook from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of next week.
There will additionally be two guided hikes to the base of the falls each night at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Those hikes will be limited to 100 people per group.
