ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Ithaca Police are looking for a vehicle they’re calling suspicious.

Someone called 911 Monday night about seeing a white Dodge or Chrysler minivan with unknown registration plates following two young girls near Richard Place and Sunrise Road. The witness told police the van was being driven by a bearded white man wearing a hat and reflective safety vest.

No contact was made between the man and the girls, but an IPD news release notes a young girl “who did not appear to be in distress” in the back of the van.

Anyone with information about the driver or van is being asked to contact the Ithaca Police Department.
