HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WHCU) – Authorities say there’s been a string of suspicious incidents at an apartment complex in Chemung County, and they’re asking for public assistance.

Surveillance devices have been found outside of several homes in the Barrington housing development in Horseheads. One place that had a device near it was broken into, and cash was stolen. The devices are described as cardboard boxes containing a cell phone and a battery pack, with leaves glued to the outside as camouflage like the one pictured below. The victims have mostly been local Asian American business owners.
