ALBANY, N.Y. (WHCU) — For the fourth time this month, state lawmakers have approved a budget extender.
It’ll keep funding state operations while debates continue over the 2024 New York State budget. The $3 billion extension was approved on Thursday. New York’s budget was due April 1.
Democratic and Republicans in Albany remain at odds over bail reform and Governor Hochul’s housing initiative, which she unveiled earlier this year in her $227 billion budget proposal.
