ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The first winter storm of the season has come and gone, and the Southern Tier is shoveling lots of snow.
According to the National Weather Service, parts of Cortland County received as much as 11 inches of snow by nightfall Sunday. In the Ithaca area, about five to six inches of snow are currently being reported. Tioga County also received a good amount, ranging between four and eight inches.
Snow totals are still being tallied by forecasters.
