ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A victim of sex abuse in the 1970s has received millions of dollars in a settlement.
The Ithaca Voice reports the unidentified man was awarded a total of five million dollars in a lawsuit filed under the Child Victims Act, which re-opens a statute of limitations for sex abuse victims.
The man was sexually abused by a relative in Broome County in 1978. He has since relocated to Ithaca.
