ALBANY, N.Y. (WHCU) — A New York lawmaker is pushing for more benefits in the workplace.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand hopes to pass a national paid leave bill. She says she’s working on it with several Republicans.

She also plans to focus on the farm bill, which includes support for food stamps and school meals.
